Sell`s delivery of the 40,000th galley unit
40,000th Sell galley
On April 15th, 2010 Sell achieved a new industry milestone - the delivery of our 40,000th galley unit which will be installed into an Emirates A380-800. To celebrate this special delivery, representatives from Emirates, senior management of the Premium Aircraft Interiors Group and Sell and the employees who were involved in the design and manufacturing of the 40,000th galley took part in a hand over ceremony. Richard Bower, Chief Executive of Sell GmbH handed over the galley to the Emirates representative to underline the importance of the long standing relationship between Emirates and Sell.
A significant part of Emirates` fleet is fitted with Sell galleys. The airline from Dubai received their first Sell galley in 2001 for a B777 and meanwhile 164 Emirates aircraft have been equipped by Sell. Emirates and Sell maintain an established business relationship for both galleys and galley inserts with the first ovens for the Emirates B777 being delivered in 1995.
